Lively Stone Church History

In the year of 2008, Elder Buggs was elevated in the ministry to Pastor Gene A. Buggs. Pastor Buggs prayed and asked God for direction, realizing that through prayer God had chosen him to work in this part of His vineyard. The voice of the Lord said unto him, “...the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few” Matthew 9:37.

Pastor and Missionary Buggs stepped out on faith and asked the Lord God to direct them in the way of holiness as they started this new ministry. On Sunday February 3, 2008 the church doors were open for the first time. Pastor Buggs petitioned the Lord to lead and guide him in pastoring the church. The scripture states, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6.

As the Pastor allowed our Lord and Savior to lead him, a scripture was then manifested to him, “Ye also, as Lively Stones, are built up a spiritual house, an Holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:5.

While in prayer and consecration, our Lord and Savior enlightened the Pastor’s vision... “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18. Pastor Buggs then spoke it into existence, “We shall be called Lively Stone.” Pastor Gene A. Buggs is the founder of the Lively Stone Church  located at 1023 Pettibone Avenue in Flint, Michigan.

Pastor Buggs has made many sacrifices, with God on his side he has taken on the responsibility, as a faithful servant to the Lively Stone Church. God has anointed Pastor Buggs to share the word of God on the radio waves, during the morning segment of The Word of Promise Broadcast.

The Lively Stone Church  is a church where the devil is cast out, sick is healed and sinners become saints. God has tremendously blessed the servant and saints of the Lively Stone.
